Senior Colin Murphy of Coginchaug and freshman Andrew Dunn of Middletown were co-medalists in Thursday’s golf match between the schools at Lyman Orchards Golf Club in Middlefield.

Murphy and Dunn shot 6-over 42, with Middletown winning the match 182-214 on Lyman’s Jones Course to complete a 3-0 week against its competition.

Dunn has been the medalist or co-medalist in four of the Blue Dragons’ five matches this season. Middletown is 5-0 overall.

Middletown sophomore Anthony Nanfito shot 46, senior Joey Snipes also shot 46, senior Ty Turcotte carded a 48 and senior Nick Connelly a 54.

For Coginchaug,  AJ Turman, Carson Sewell and Joe Cronk continued their consistent play with scores of 51, 58 and 63, respectively.

Both teams are back in action on Tuesday in separate matches at Lyman. Middletown will host Plainville in Central Connecticut Conference play, while Coginchaug faces Old Saybrook in the Shoreline Conference.

North Branford 6, Haddam-Killingworth 0: Cam Garrett spun a 2-hit shutout with 9 strikeouts to pull the T-Birds’ record even at 6-6. Todd Butler and Dylan Coon each had a hit for H-K (8-4).

Softball

Haddam-Killingworth 9, North Branford 4: Brooke Hickman pitched 5 innings of relief, allowing 1 run and striking out 8, as H-K beat North Branford for the second time this season. Ivy McNiel had 3 hits for the Cougars (12-1), who won their fifth straight. Kaleigh Bodak had 2 hits, scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Lauren Ackerman had 3 hits for the defending Shoreline Conference champion T-Birds (7-5).

Girls Lacrosse

Sheehan 18, Mercy 7: Jayna Mackenzie scored 10 goals to lead the Titans (7-2) to their SCC victory over the Tigers (1-7). Lily Schoonmaker led Mercy with 5 goals and Mackenzie Kelley and Maddy Carbone also scored. Callia Borkowski had 5 saves in net for Mercy.
