Junior Adela Cecunjanin scored 13 points and pulled down 18 rebounds Saturday as No. 2 seed Cromwell defeated No. 7 Morgan 55-40 in a Shoreline Conference girls basketball tournament quarterfinal game.
Grace Mikan was 3 of 6 from 3-point range, finishing with 11 points, while Nevaeh Clark (12 points) and Cameryn Hickey (10 points) also scored in double figures for Cromwell.
The Panthers (17-4 overall) will host No. 3 seed Valley Regional in the semifinals on Tuesday night at Jake Salafia Gymnasium. No. 3 Valley defeated No. 6 Old Lyme 59-25 on Saturday.
Clark also had 7 rebounds and 6 assists as Cromwell, which led 21-20 at halftime, pulled away in the second half. Cecunjanin blocked 4 shots.
Katie Martin had 16 points and 7 rebounds for Morgan (9-12) and Ava Johnson finished with 13 points and a team-high 9 boards. The Huskies will be in the CIAC Class M tournament later this month.

Freshman Liana Salamone led all scorers with 23 points to power the top-seeded Bellringers to their Shoreline quarterfinal win at home over the Knights. The two-time defending Shoreline champions will host North Branford on Wednesday (6pm). Jami Sacco, who scored her 1,000th career point earlier this season, led No. 8 seed Westbrook with 15 points. The Knights will play in the CIAC Class S tournament later this month.
