Senior guard Shadae Bushay lit up the box score with a triple-double Tuesday night to lead the Middletown girls basketball team to its eighth straight win, 61-49 over Sheehan at LaBella-Sullivan Gymnasium.

Bushay’s feat was a career first as she posted 27 points, 11 rebounds and 10 steals for the 10th-ranked Blue Dragons (15-2), who won for the second time in as many nights.

Middletown’s leading scorer Tyah Pettaway finished with 20 points. The Dragons have three regular-season games to go — two more at home this week — ahead of the CCC tournament, which starts next week.
