Matt Steuerwald scored a season-high 20 points and Elijah Wilborn had 16 to lead Middletown to a 69-48 win over CCC South rival Platt on Wednesday at LaBella-Sullivan Gymnasium.

The host Blue Dragons also got a 14-point night from junior guard Marshall Butler in winning their sixth consecutive game heading into Thursday night’s tilt at Newington.

Anthony Numani and Elijah Rodriguez scored 14 points each for Platt.

The Warriors rallied from a nine-point, fourth-quarter deficit at home, with Simon Partyka providing the winning bucket on a drive to the basket with 14.9 seconds left. Partyka had 5 assists and 3 steals to go with his 12 points. Di’Angelo Jean-Pierre had a team-high 9 assists, and James Marsden finished with 6 rebounds, 1 block and 3 steals. The win was Valley’s third straight.
