Drew Nye scored 20 points Monday night and Morgan drained 11 shots from 3-point territory to defeat Old Saybrook 76-57 in a Shoreline Conference boys basketball game in Clinton.

Nye had five buckets from long distance and Cooper Galdenzi, who finished with 19 points, hit three as the Huskies raced to a 42-17 lead at halftime.

Morgan got to the .500 mark with its second straight win. Connor Duffy also was in double figures with 12 points.

Old Saybrook, playing just its third game of the season, was led by Riley Lawson’s game-high 21 points.

Junior point guard Ryan Stratton finished with 19 points in his first game since the Rams’ Dec. 16 season opener. Old Saybrook was missing two starters from the lineup.

“I was proud of the way we played,” coach Chris Perras said. “We competed hard, and as many adjustments that we made, Morgan had an answer for it. They just hit 3 after 3 and ultimately we couldn’t catch up.”
