The Old Saybrook boys basketball team’s first game in 19 days was worth the wait. For the Rams, at least.

Aaron Tolve scored 23 points and Auggie Albert had a big night with 7 points and 9 rebounds in a 44-28 Shoreline Conference win over host Westbrook 44-28 on Tuesday night.

Tolve chipped in 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.

“Aaron was tremendous tonight,” Rams coach Chris Perras said.

Because of postponements with two games, Old Saybrook was playing for just the second time since its Dec. 16 season-opening win over Hale-Ray.

Bran Naccarato, Joey Caslin and Jesse Whitney scored 8 points each for the Knights, who saw their two-game winning streak end.
