Chloe Shafir led all scorers with 19 points to lead the Coginchaug girls basketball team to its second straight win to start the season, 50-42 over Old Lyme in Shoreline Conference play Thursday night in Durham

The Blue Devils led 28-19 at halftime and kept the Wildcats at bay in the final two quarters.

Katie Farr scored 9 points and Mia Poturnicki added 8 for Coginchaug. The Blue Devils opened the season with a non-conference win over Lyman Hall and wrap their three-game homestand to start the season on Monday against Old Saybrook.

Kate Walsh led Old Lyme with 13 points.
