Alex Gallardo’s goal in the 35th minute equalized the match and held up as Morgan and Old Saybrook played to a 1-1 draw Thursday in Old Saybrook.
Morgan keeper Bailey Goss stopped a penalty shot and finished with 12 saves. The Huskies are 6-1-1 and halted Old Saybrook’s winning streak to start the season at five.
Kevin Decaupa gave the Rams the lead in the 23rd minute with an unassisted goal.
Old Saybrook goalie Ryan Slisz had 6 saves. Old Saybrook outshot Morgan 14-12.
The teams meet again Oct. 21 at Indian River Complex in Clinton.
Both teams go outside the Shoreline Conference for their next matches. Old Saybrook visits Canton on Saturday and Morgan travels to Waterford on Monday.
