Pictured: Cromwell’s Lily Kenney, pitching in a game earlier this season.

Cromwell got back on a winning track Monday as sophomore pitcher Lily Kenney notched her 13th win of the season and a trio produced big-time at the plate in an 8-0 Shoreline Conference victory over visiting Hale-Ray.

Madison Tessmer tripled, doubled and scored three runs and Jamie Anderson had four hits to lead the Panthers’ 11-hit attack. Cromwell was coming off a 3-0 loss to Coginchaug on Saturday and had lost three of its previous four games before Monday.

The Panthers (13-4) are assured a top four seed in the Shoreline tournament, which starts Saturday with play-in games. Hale-Ray fell to 8-9, ending a two-game winning streak.

Grace McFarlin’s bases-clearing double keyed a five-run sixth inning, putting the game out of reach. Kenney struck out 10.

For Hale-Ray, Lily Bourgeois, Brooke Praskievicz and Sammy Lafemina had two hits apiece.
