Cromwell senior Tyler Szjrena pitched six innings for his first win of the season and the Panthers extended their winning streak to four with a 7-2 Shoreline Conference win over Portland on Monday.

Szrenja allowed two runs on five hits as Cromwell, following a 1-3 start, has picked up a head of steam near the halfway point of the season.

Tino Gagliardi had two hits, Zach Zajac scored twice and the Panthers took advantage of five errors by the Highlanders (1-6). Devin Murphy took the loss for Portland.
