MIDDLETOWN – Mercy junior forward Lilly Hedge scored 20 points to help the Tigers to their third straight win, 37-31 over West Haven in an SCC Housatonic Division game Wednesday night.
Mercy (7-10) needs one win in its final three regular-season games to gain a Class LL tournament berth. The Tigers host Guilford on Friday (7pm tip).
Kassidy Carrano led West Haven (7-9) with 9 points.

HIGGANUM – Freshman guard Kaleigh Bodak scored 16 points and grabbed 8 rebounds and senior Belle Carini contributed 15 points as the Cougars (5-10) defeated East Granby (6-11) on Wednesday night.
Bodak also had 3 steals and 2 blocked shots, senior Anna Biondi had 5 steals and freshman Payton Yazmer grabbed 6 rebounds for H-K. The Cougars host Valley Regional on Thursday at 7pm.
