Cromwell's Balance Keeps Team Unbeaten In Shoreline

Vanessa Stolstajner led four Cromwell players in double figures with 23 points as the Panthers defeated North Branford 77-48 Friday night for their fourth straight victory.

The visiting Panthers (7-3) rung up their highest point total of the season and remained unbeaten in Shoreline Conference play at 7-0.

Freshman Adela Cecunjanin scored 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds, while Khaya Skene added 12 points and Sadie Budzik contributed 10 points and 5 assists. Freshman Nevaeh Clark had a team-best 8 rebounds for the Panthers.

Braeden LeBeau led the Thunderbirds (6-3) with 16 points and 9 rebounds).

HIGGANUM – Senior guard Gavin Grabowski poured in 24 points and had 7 steals and Valley Regional rode a big fourth quarter to a Shoreline road win over H-K.

Valley continued its climb in the Shoreline standings with its sixth straight win following a 1-3 start to the season.

Grabowski had an excellent all-around game with 7 steals, 5 rebounds and 5 assists, and center Chris Sparaco finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Cade Ensinger chipped in 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 steals.

Giacomo Volpicelli led the Cougars with 14 points.
