Xavier Loses To Hamden In OT; Old Lyme Tops Portland

HAMDEN – Xavier came up short in Southern Connecticut Conference play Friday night, falling to Hamden 50-47 in overtime in its first loss of the season.

Stephen Kohs led the Falcons (3-1) with 15 points. KJ Grisham (14 points) and Andrew Brown (11) also scored in double figures.

Heston Tucker scored a game-high 17 points for Hamden (2-1).

Xavier returns home on Tuesday night for a 7 p.m. game against Fairfield Prep.

OLD SAYBROOK – Davis Brown scored a season-high 35 points for the Rams, but Hale-Ray unleashed a torrent of 3-point buckets in its Shoreline win.

Antonio Dadario hit seven 3-pointers and finished with 25 points for the Noises, while Loudon Chupas ad 20 and Matt Conroy chipped in 13.

Hale-Ray equaled last season’s win total with its fourth W of the season.

MOODUS — Beldina Feratovic had a big night for the Rams, finishing with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals. Old Saybrook won for the first time after an 0-4 start to the season.
